Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
1. Overview
AI-Q Index™ is an academic research tool developed under the PhD. Bora Dilik Strategic Framework. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect data when you use the AI-Q Index™ assessment portal.
2. Data We Collect
When you complete an assessment, we collect the following:
- Profile data (required): Country, profession or sector, and experience level. These are selected from predefined lists and cannot identify you personally.
- Assessment responses: Your answers to the assessment questions (1-5 Likert scale) and the calculated scores.
- Technical metadata: A one-way hash of your IP address (not the IP itself), browser user-agent string, and assessment duration in seconds.
- Email (optional): Only if you choose to provide it for receiving your report.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- Your name, phone number, or physical address
- Your raw IP address (only a non-reversible hash is stored)
- Cookies for tracking or advertising purposes
- Any data from third-party social media accounts
4. How We Use Your Data
Your anonymized data is used exclusively for:
- Benchmarking: Comparing your scores against aggregate averages by profession, sector, and region.
- Academic research: Contributing to anonymized datasets for AI competency research and publications.
- Platform improvement: Understanding assessment patterns to improve the tool.
- Report delivery: If you provide your email, we use it solely to send your assessment report.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data based on your explicit consent, which you provide by checking the consent checkbox before submitting your assessment. You may choose not to take the assessment at any time.
6. Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security (RLS) policies enforced.
- All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Only authenticated administrators can access stored assessment data.
- The IP hash is a one-way function — it cannot be reversed to obtain your actual IP address.
7. Data Retention
Assessment data is retained indefinitely for ongoing academic research and benchmarking purposes. Since the data is anonymized at the point of collection, deletion of individual records is not applicable. If you provided an email address, you may request its removal by contacting us.
8. Your Rights
Under GDPR (EU) and KVKK (Turkey Law No. 6698), you have the right to:
- Know what data is collected about you before you submit
- Withdraw consent (by not submitting the assessment)
- Request deletion of your email address if you provided one
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Because assessments are anonymous and cannot be linked back to individuals, rights such as access, rectification, and portability apply only to the optional email field.
9. Third-Party Services
- Supabase: Database hosting and authentication (privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy)
- Vercel: Application hosting (privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
We do not use any advertising, analytics, or tracking services.
10. Children
AI-Q Index™ is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the assessment after changes constitutes acceptance.
